IL-76P aircraft is intended to fight against big devastating
fires
The system of fire extinguishing installed in the aircraft consists of:
Two pipe-tanks with the length up to 14 meters, diameter of 1,22 m and total volume of 40 cubic meters;
The controlling system reactant pour;
The system of filling of volumes;
The system of drainage;
Targeting device;
Meteo-bullet containers. The pour controlling system provides with the choice of separate-consecutive and simultaneous pouring. The filling
of the volumes with reactant is done from any existing tank car in the airdrome. The water can be dumped beginning from 80 up to 200 meters
depending on the area and visibility conditions. The dumping for 4 - 5 seconds from the aircraft can cover a strip with length of 450 - 900 Í
(depending on speed of flight).
